What information we collect

When you use Compass, we collect the following information:

  • Your name and email address (provided during signup)
  • Business financial data you enter during the intake process, including revenue figures, cost breakdowns, debt information, and growth targets
  • Your industry, business stage, team size, and strategic goals
  • Payment information processed securely through Stripe (we never store your card details directly)

How we use your information

We use your data solely to:

  • Generate your personalised Compass strategy and budget report
  • Pre-populate your intake form when you return to update your information
  • Improve the quality and relevance of Compass outputs over time
  • Process your payment and manage your account

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to delivering your Compass report.

Data storage

Your data is stored on Australian servers operated by Supabase, our database provider. Supabase uses industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. Your data remains within Australian jurisdiction.

We never sell your data

Your business data is yours. We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal or business information to any third party. Full stop.

Third-party services

Compass uses the following third-party services to operate:

  • Anthropic (Claude AI) — Your business data is sent to Anthropic's API to generate your strategy report. Anthropic does not retain your data for training purposes. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
  • Stripe — Handles payment processing securely. Compass never sees or stores your full card number. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Supabase — Provides database hosting and authentication services on Australian infrastructure.
  • Google — If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We do not access any other Google account data.

Your rights under the Australian Privacy Act 1988

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of any inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe your privacy has been breached
